Step by step strawberry tutorial using watercolors

Hello everyone, This is my first blog post on my website. I would like to tell you that watercolors are really fun to work with and the beauty of water colors is all about layering and transparency.

This is an easy tutorial for painting a strawberry in just 3 steps.

Before you start you have to choose your color palette

Then you draw a strawberry using a light shade pencil , then comes the first step in painting which is laying a layer of colors using wet on wet technique.

Wait for the paint to dry, then proceed to the second step by putting another layer of paint marking the light and shade in the strawberry using also wet on wet technique.

you can always add more layers before proceeding to the final step but wait for the paint to dry between each layer.

The final step is adding shade and light using dry on dry technique, and then adding the final details of the strawberry.

I used white gouache to add the white details.
